So finally I bought real good and quite expensive matcha powder to find out how I might profit from its tasty and healthy benefits. For example matcha ice cubes are a very good idea these days. Served in a nonalcoholic drink it turns out as miracle cure. (I guess mainly because of the absence of toxic alcohol!) However I was quite surprised how good matcha matches pink grapefruit. Bitter plus bitter turned out as elegantly bitter. I called it green lagoon because the drink might look a little bit scary after a while, when the ice cubes are melting away… Just allow some time for the freezer to prepare the ice cubes – it’s worth it. Very refreshing! FOR 4 PERSONS

1 heaped teaspoon of good matcha powder
250 ml of filtered water
pink grapefruit juice (strained, I’m not a fan of the pulp. Plus, without the pulp the drink will look a little bitt less scary.)
sparkling water
13 Heat 250 ml of filtered water until 80° C.
12 Fill 1 heaped teaspoon of matcha powder into a bowl.
11 Pour a little bit of the hot, filtered water.
10 Whisk slowly with a bamboo whisker until matcha is dissolved completely.
9 Add the rest of the hot filtered water and
8 briskly whisk back and forth in the middle of the bowl.
7 Let cool down your tea completely.
6 Whisk one last time,
5 then pour tea into a ice cube form and
4 put into a freezer and let freeze.
3 Fill 1/3 of a glass with sparkling water.
2 Add 3–4 matcha ice cubes and
1 fill with pink grapefruit juice.
