BLOSSOMS ON RYE

… When I was a little child in the kindergarden I went with my friends to the meadows to collect blossoms and to pick and eat sorrel or to suck clover’s nectar! What a joy! …. My mother always cultivated lots of organic herbs and vegetables in her enormous garden and on the weekends in summer we ate nasturtium leaves and their blossoms for breakfast. On good bread or on a perfect brezel (which is hard to find) with salted butter this is too delicious and almost too beautiful to eat. I added a little bit of chive with its blossom … So no work for a delightfull lunch with fresh herbs from the sunny balcony. And tomorrow it will be raining again.
